Sunflower Centerpiece IDEAS!!!!?

Im doing sunflower centerpieces in mason jars for my centerpieces for my wedding. My colors are chocolate brown and sunflower yellow, my flowers are sunflowers (obviously). Im gonna have brown table cloths with these centerpieces (Pic link below) I need ideas of what else i could do? Im afraid just just these will look just boring and bland. By the way my tables are the long square ones... and Im doing two to a table. Some of my friends had ideas of running 3 different patterned/yellow ribbon down the center like a runner. LIke a 1inch in the middle and to 1/2 inches on both sides. PLEASE HELP!

Serious ideas only please! Im too stressed to take anything else. Thankyou!!!

Sunflower Centerpiece IDEAS!!!!?
I like your idea.

It is very cute and pretty.

I would suggest maybe you could dye the water a certain color, but yellow or brown might not be good ideas because brown will look kinda nasty and yellow wont come out right.

You could try green, just play around with the number of drops and you can always make it dark or light.

Also, put some ribbons around the jar in different colors.

And last, you can buy some marbles at a craft store in different colors, you can get yellow, brown, green [whatever you need] and place them in the bottom.

It will spice things up!!

Congrats!
Reply:my best friend was doing this for her wedding too...however a few days prior to the wedding we got hit by a hurricaine and we lost all the flowers we were growing for the centerpieces...so we knocked on doors lol...and it worked...like the others said...def going to have to have ribbon around the jars...if you are going to go mason ...and pebbles are a must...they are cheap in michaels...and if you change your mind and want to use vases...www.cudge.net...has awesome prices in bulk on items like this...candles as well....so anyway...what she did...we gathered many sunflowers and wildflowers and used them...it was awesome...made the reception beautiful.....she used 3 diff colors of dresses...light yellow...mocha...and alight brown....so all of the colors from the flowers just perked everything up even more...wildflowers are so versitile you can't go wrong...it was only 2 sunflowers per vase...and the rest were wild....hope this helps

Reply:maybe tie a ribbion around the neck of the jar.. put some votive candles on the table as well.. a runner would look nice as well.. i would maybe put 3 to a table seeing the tables are long and have a candle in between along with the runner

but def dress that jar up a bit.. its very plan and boring
Reply:You have loads of options with this one.

1) Varying the height of the sunflower stems would add elegance and drama to the centrepiece.

2) If you're not keen on seeing the stems through the mason jar, you could line the inside of the mason jar with something like a large banana leaf or other large waxy plant leaf.

3) For an evening wedding, you can line the jar with the banana leaf, then drop in a glow 'ice cube' which would light the flowers from underneath providing a little more drama.

4) Table runners can be made from a half width of yellow satin and your local fabric store may have some off-cuts or end rolls that you could get cheaper than normal.

5) Large yellow cloth napkins laid flat out as a diamond across the middle of the table, with a smaller brown one on top in the same fashion -ironed of course- and with the mason jars on top could also work and it's fairly inexpensive.

6) You could also use loose flower sunflower heads or petals to scatter down the centre of the table - a few tealight candles in small holders in between would certainly brighten it up.

Hope at least one of these was helpful.
Reply:A simple cluster of 3-5 different height white candles on either side of your centre piece could work - this will break the brown up a little - you could even loosely coil some SF Yellow ribbon around them

May be a few river stones in you jars and then a few scattered down the table - Oh you could put little piles of Giant Yellow pebble candy's - doubles as a table favor
Reply:Here's a couple of ideas:

You could intersperse your flowers with mini pots of growing herbs like this pic:

Or alternate with candles in yellow votives, or yellow potted flowers, or little bowls of lemons like this:

Or you could use the lemon idea and put a placecard stuck into a lemon at each place setting.
