Taco bell sunflower seeds in 1970s to 1990s?

i was reading lyrics for a system of a down song... and interpretations of what it meant. someone saidthat a part of a song was refering to the 1970s ot 1990s when taco bell sold sunflower seeds that had asbestos and nicotine in them... it was the governments idea or something. i dont know.








did that actually happen?
