Sunflower seeds?

I bought some sunflower seeds last night and I got home and realized they expired last November, my friend said it wouldn't hurt anything if I ate them. but I don't know, the thought of them expired doesn't make me want to eat them. are they still good?

Sunflower seeds?
At the risk of being gross- they are probably ok. I seriously doubt that they will hurt you to eat, they just won't taste as fresh i.e. may be a little stale.
Reply:I wouldnt eat them

I once had a bad experience with out date seeds

It has a very stale taste and it really doesnt taste right

So if I was you I would not eat those seeds
Reply:ask yourself...Is expired food good? EXPIRED!!! It wouldnt need an expiration date if they were always gonna be good for you to eat.
Reply:Either take them back,or dump them. Expiration was a long time ago.
Reply:They might be OK. Could be a little rancid. Make sure you're reading the date right and that it's an expiration and not a production date. If you still have the packaging and the receipt, take them back to the store.
Reply:It all depends on how much of a creep you are
Reply:take them back to the store and get a new bag if they refuse then tell them that you will get the health board on them if a store is selling products and the date has passed and hello 4 1/2 months is not acceptable..... they can get in deep doodo!
