Why does my dog eat the leaves of my sunflower plants? I've never seen a dog go ape over sunflower leaves before, but she LOVES them. Should I let her eat them? Is there something in them that she needs?

Nah, it wont' hurt her. I have no idea why she would eat it....I guess the same reason some dogs eat grass. It's just because they like it!
Reply:It seems like there's some kind of medicinal value in the sunflower leaf- something that dogs use to prevent or help with fevers, and also some kind of bug repellent! That's about all I could find about dogs that eat sunflowers. Report It
