Can babies eat sunflower seeds?

My little sister is 10 months old and my Mum doesn't know if she can give her bread with sunflower seeds in it. Can anyone help?

Can babies eat sunflower seeds?
no
Reply:I wouldn't advise it, at that age she won't be able to chew or digest it, or even choke.
Reply:If there are no shells I would say yes.
Reply:Well at first response was no!!! and if youare worried enough to ask a questiona bout it then again no better be sure than sorry
Reply:Yes
Reply:yes as she will have teeth to chew so it will not do her any harm, let me know if she enjoys her bread.
Reply:my children were eating them as soon as they had teeth
Reply:The advice is usually no nuts or seeds until the age of 3, so I would say no
Reply:i wouldn't recommend it
Reply:Well if it's in the bread and it is swallowed within the bread then yes it should be fine, they wont be digested and will show up again, if they are on their own dry, deffo NO! No peanuts either! Moist within a bread would be fine, supervised.
Reply:NO
Reply:i wouldnt have thought so they are too small for her to chew and digest properly
Reply:No. They could get caught in her throat and she could choke.
