Are sunflower seedlings poisonous to cats?

my cat has eaten about two leaves from a sunflower seedling and has not stopped vomiting and behaving strangely, although it is not fitting or any other common poisoning symptoms

Are sunflower seedlings poisonous to cats?
no, he probably ate the leaves to induce vomiting. a lot of cats eat grass to help them get up their hairballs. That is what your cat is doing.
Reply:please check with you vet

thank you
Reply:Sunflower seedlings are not poisonous to cats. Cats do try to make themselves sick by eating grass and other greenery to help in coughing up furballs.
Reply:take the cat to the vet
Reply:I wouldn't throw up the red flag yet. Keep an eye on the cat. If you notice he is loosing weight, and isn't drinking water, get yourself to the vet right away! Some plants can cause renal failure in cats, that is when the kidneys shut diwn. Some plants just have simple defense mechanisms taht will make things vomit. We have all heard of ipicac. So keep your eyes open.
Reply:a dunno its just like saying r humans posiounus 2 nnuts it just depends but u shud of took her 2 a vet by now
