Stuck sunflower seed - no joke!!!?

Okay, you will think I'm crazy. Well I am but that's not really relevant here. Anyway...

I was eathing sunflower seeds today and somehow I think I got a sliver of husk stuck in my throat. It's stuck there and feels like a little needle pricking me each time I swallow. Here's what I've tried, some of which are suggestions from friends and family:

Brushing my teeth

Gargling

Rincing with mouthwash

making myself burp

making myself sneeze

using my finger to try and get at it

being a little sick

drinking a whole lot of water at once

drinking something really hot

Does anyone know of anything else I could try. I'm not really good with anatomy but it feels almost as though it's under my jaw.

Help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Stuck sunflower seed - no joke!!!?
That always happens to me with Doritos and popcorn. No worries, it will eventually soften up enough to come out, though it is annoying.
Reply:Best way: eating RICE

Rice is sticky, and when you slowly swallow it, i'll slide down the throat, and stick to the sunflower seed and push it down. I did that when a fish bone got lodged in my throat. If that doesn't work, see the doctor, and they'll get it out in like... 2 seconds.
Reply:Try eating fresh bread or roll, not little bit's, but put a large amount in you mouth at one time. Swallowing, should remove any sliver of the sunflower logged in you throat.

Doing this may cause, constipation. If this occurs I sure you know how to take care of that problem.

If this does not take care of the problem, you must see a doctor. My best to you.
Reply:Might not even be a sunflower seed :\

Last time that happened to me, I drank some water and gave up. I went to sleep, and when I woke up it was gone.

But I wouldn't really want to try that, you might choke on the little thing ;]
Reply:try using ur tongue to take it out
Reply:Well first off try to avoid touching it with your finger!

I suspect that it may not be a piece of anything BUT

A cut maybe (from a seed of course)

So touching it is a bad idea - to avoid infection

Just keep on using mouth wash and gargling ect. If it is indeed a cut, you should put some salt in water and wash the cut 1-3 times a day until you see a doctor about it if the pain persists.
Reply:Don't worry it most likely already went down (especially if you have eaten afterwards) but what you're feeling now is the irritation that the sunflower seed made while scraping against your throat. This feeling can be very misleading and can truly feel like there is something there. It should get better each day and will probably last a few days.
Reply:blow your nose or cough
